Subdivisions and Land Development

We take pride in constructing communities, often where we live and work. Our experienced construction team, backed with the right equipment, allows us to execute a wide variety and scale of project. Any size, type and depth of pipe can be addressed, from deep trunk lines to large diameter concrete storm and box culverts, water distribution to site services, and new construction to rehabilitation projects. We deliver safely performed, high quality projects, on schedule.

Earthworks and Site Development

Our team of dedicated professionals bring forward the ability to construct quality projects to the required standard of local Governments, Municipalities, Alberta Transportation, Alberta Environment and Parks, Alberta Infrastructure, and First Nation communities, and have collaborated with these public bodies collectively and individually prior to joining Option. We are proud to offer underground construction as well as the additional services of directional drilling, earthworks, general contracting, and construction management Canada-wide to clients.

Storm Outfalls

Our team’s experience in completing on-site and off-site trunk mains of varying sizes and depths consists of, and is not limited to, large diameter PVC and concrete sanitary lines, large diameter PVC and concrete storm main lines, large diameter water distribution systems, trenchless trunk main installations, stormwater outfalls, oil/grit separation units, and lift stations.

Pipeline Construction

From HDPE transmission mains, sewer force mains and steel pipeline construction, our team has installed hundreds of kilometres of pipeline in Western Canada over the last 5 years.

Pipe Fusion Services

Option’s in-house HDPE/PVC certified and experienced Fusion Technicians work with all diameters of pipe and are also certified for electrofusion couplers on HDPE. Their work is fully documented for quality assurance and control requirements and records are submitted throughout the duration of fusing activities.

Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD)

Option’s team has worked on numerous trenchless projects in the past. As a General Contractor, our experience in horizontal directional drilling, case bores, pipe-jacking, micro-tunneling and direct pipe installation allows us to monitor and collaborate with our subcontractors to ensure the most effective use of time during these activities.

Lift Stations / Pump Stations

Heavy Haul & Transportation

We have in-house heavy haul and transportation for heavy equipment as well as tandem and end dump trucking and hauling.

Site Development

For greenfield civil construction projects, our team can act as a skilled GC to handle everything from your deep utilities, earthworks construction, gravel base work, and all finish site works including paving, concrete and landscaping. Our team has experience developing private, residential and industrial land sections.

Design Build Projects

Option Excavating has in-house design engineering capabilities to partner with clients on design build opportunities including deep utilities, earthworks and roadbuilding, lift stations and pump stations, transmission pipelines and full site developments.

Major Earthworks Projects

Option Excavating has the team and equipment to handle any bulk earthworks projects from small site grading to full scale 1 million cubic metre projects. From rip rap to final base work, we can cover every scope needed to bring your project full circle.

Hydrovac

Our in-house fleet of Hydrovac and straight vac trucks service our projects from HDD mud disposal to delicate high pressure line locating.

Demolition / Remediation

Our team has tackled projects that involve contaminated soil remediation and structural demolition. Our team and our equipment are suited to what each project requires.

Lift Stations, Pump Stations & Mechanical

Our team has experience in retrofitting and installing new pre-cast lift stations and wet wells. At any depth, our experienced team can GC any lift station project, including all the required mechanical and electrical works. H2S and confined space required? No problem. We have access to any specialized entry equipment and procedures to complete work safely.
