About this Project
The Education Way Subdivision was sponsored by the O’Chiese First Nation to expand the number of residential homes on the Nation. Option was engaged by the General Contractor to install the water and sanitary mains, and home connections in advance of roadway and lot preparation.
Construction Particulars
- Project start up activities; subcontract execution, submittals (Schedule and Shop Drawings), staged procurement
- Open cut installation of 200mm (1 km) and 150mm (300m) of waterline, up to 5m in depth
- Open cut installation of 100mm (500m), 75mm (500m) and 50mm (300m) of low pressure sanitary main
- Installation of sanitary clean outs; 100mm (2), 75mm (3) and 50mm (4)
- 42 residential water service and sanitary service connections with integrated sanitary grinder pump packages
- Tie-ins to the existing infrastructure, hydrostatic testing, disinfection and swabbing and flushing of the waterline
