Clearwater Stage IV Phase B Subdivision

This subdivision project was sponsored by the Clearwater River Dene Nation, a community located in Clearwater River, Saskatchewan, 600 km north of Saskatoon. Work expanded the community by providing water and sanitary services to 33 new residences. Option collaborated with IR to find cost saving alternatives of $45,000 to assist delivering the project under budget.

Construction Particulars

• 1.9 ha of site preparation including clearing, grubbing, tree removals, drainage work cut/fills
• 200mm sanitary sewer installation (700m), depths of 3 to 4.5m
• 26 vertical metres of manhole installations and connections to existing infrastructure
• 150mm water main installation (1,400m), commissioning and connections to the existing infrastructure
• 33 service connections; 855m of sanitary and 805m of water
• 6,250 m² of roadway work including erosion control and aggregate installations
• 15,000 m³ of common excavation and contractor supplied borrow to complete lot grading and drainage improvements
• Roadway earthwork for drainage including ditch installations, 400mm CSP culverts (48m) and existing ditch improvements
